KitBase

KitBase is an open-access database for fast-neutron mutant lines of the rice cultivar Kitaake. I designed, built, and maintained it at the Ronald Lab, UC Davis.

• Mutant and gene search, BLAST, seed-stock ordering, and genome data downloads
• Integrated the JBrowse (React.js) genome browser to visualize sequence, annotation, and mutation tracks
• Improved database query performance by 150% through indexing
• Built Python and Perl pipelines to filter, annotate, and analyze raw genomic data
